Since 1978, Gem City Kiwanians have built friendships around a shared commitment to children, community service and turning good intentions into useful work.
Our history
Serving since 1978
The club held its first organizational meeting on September 8, 1978, and was chartered by the Quincy Noon Kiwanis Club on September 29, 1978. It began with 35 members and grew through decades of service projects, fundraising and community partnerships.
January 2026
In January 2026, Golden K merged fully into Gem City Kiwanis. The merger strengthened one united club; Golden K is no longer a separate identity, satellite or meeting option.
